The Riegelnegg winery is a multiple award-winning winery in Gamlitz in beautiful southern Styria. The winery, which is run by two generations, covers 14 hectares of vineyards and is located about 3 km from the South Styrian Wine Road. The vines of Sauvignon Blanc, which are over 25 years old, grow on barren, rocky gravel conglomerate. The climatic hints give the wine special nuances of flavor. In the own vaulted cellar, which was renovated and expanded in 1997/98, is the in-house vinotheque, where it is possible to hold stylish tastings. A large part of the white wines are vinified in the classic Styrian way in stainless steel tanks and a large part of the red wines are stored in barrique barrels. The fully ripe grapes are harvested by hand. Tasting notes:On the nose, exotic nuances of mangoes, passion fruit as well as grapefruit. The palate is accompanied by a fine sweetness.
