Old Pulteney has announced its new line NAS-Travel-Retail in summer 2013. The very colourful packaging should remind of lighthouses from the Scottish highlands around Wick.
This eye-catching packaging with a coral red label shows an image of the Duncansby Head lighthouse. The lighthouse is located near John O'Groats at the northern tip of Scotland and protects a dangerous part of the Pentland Firth, where the Atlantic water flows into the North Sea.

The Old Pulteney Duncansby Head Lighthouse Bourbon & Sherry Casks matured, as the name suggests, in ex-bourbon and sherry casks.

Tasting notes:

Nose: sweet, spicy, notes of green apples, raisins and chocolate.
Taste: Sweet, full-bodied, notes of honey and oranges.
Finish: Long lasting, rich, spicy.
