Michter's US*1 Original Small Batch Sour Mash Whiskey is produced by the oldest distillery in the United States. Part of the fermented mash is used the starter for the newly fermented mash. Due to the selection of the grain, it does not fall into the category of either Rye or Bourbon. The whiskey is aged in charred American white oak barrels. Tasting notes:Color: Bright amber. Nose: Rich, sweet, vanilla. Taste: Soft, full-bodied, roasted sugar, smoked fruit, candied cherries. Finish: Long lasting.
