The Hirschmugl Winery is under the management of Anton and Astrig Hirschmugl. After the couple acquired a property on the Seggauberg, they began to realize their dream. After not too long they fulfilled their dream of living, living and working in and with nature. Due to the special location and the optimal climate, both of them are able to produce wine on a very high level. The Hirschmugl winery specialises in three grape varieties, including Muscaris, Cabernet Blanc and Cabertin. But also classic varieties like Sauvignon Blanc, Welschriesling or Zweigelt are cultivated. In the nose a pleasant scent of herbs and spices, yellow peppers, grapefruit and cassis. On the palate harmonious, juicy and tight with a dark minerality. Long persistent after ripe white fruits in the finish. Grape variety: 100% Sauvignon Blanc. Vinification: Large wooden barrel. Drinking temperature: 9-11 °C. Storage potential: Up to 7 years. Closure: Screw cap. Sauvignon Blanc is a good accompaniment to fish, shellfish and boiled beef.
