The winery Hannes Reeh is located in the famous wine-growing region of Andau, which is close to Lake Neusiedl. With 2400 hours of sunshine, Andau is one of the sunniest places in Austria. The vines grow on gravelly soils and have to be content with very little rainfall (450mm). Hannes Reeh has been solely responsible for the vinification of the wines since 2007. The winemaker is an unconventional person, self-confident and single-mindedly pursues his plans. UNPLUGGED, these are wines produced without any frills, but with a lot of feeling for the beat of nature. No fining agents, no enzymes and no cultured yeasts. In good wine years even without filtration. Tasting notes:Rich golden yellow in the glass. Exotic, fruity nose of bananas, sugar melons and peaches and hints of vanilla. Very fruity and sweet on the palate. Long lasting on the finish. Grape variety: Chardonnay. Aging: 20% stainless steel, 80% barrique. Soil: Red gravel. Closure: screw cap. Harmonizes very well with shellfish, mussels as well as fish dishes.
