The wine company Gaja is one of the most famous in the world. In 1859 the winery was founded in Barbaresco by Giovanni Gaja. Giovanni Gaja was the great-grandfather of the current owner, Angelo Gaja. Around 300,000 bottles of wine are produced annually and the vineyard covers 92 hectares. Awards: - 96 points from Falstaff - 94 points from Wine Spectator. Tasting notes:Bright ruby red in the glass. Intense aroma of wood, rose petals and wild berries. On the palate very juicy, powerful and complex with well-integrated tannins. Long persistent finish.
