The Deanston distillery was founded in 1965. One year later the production of whisky was started and in 1971 the first products were launched under the name Old Bannockburn. After the takeover of Invergordon Distillers in 1972, two years later the first single malt was sold under the name Deanston. In 1982 the distillery was closed. In 1991 there was a reopening by Burn Stewart Distillers. Deanston 14 Years Old Whisky is the first organic single malt whisky from Deanston Distillery. The 14 year aging process takes place in new oak casks without cold filtration.Tasting notes:Colour: Light gold. Nose: Soft, fruity, notes of sweet American oak. Taste: Soft, creamy, sweet, malty, notes of honey, vanilla. Finish: Long lasting, sweet oak.
