The story of this blended malt begins on a journey in the south of Spain, when John Glaser, 'Whiskymaker' of Compass Box, learned a lot about the local sherry wines. Years later, when he discovered the typical Scotch whisky, sherry became a topic again, as many whiskies get a finish in their casks. The Compass Box THE STORY OF THE SPANIARD is a blend of malt whiskies stored in sherry casks. All fillings of Compass Box are not cool-filtered and without colorants.Tasting notes:Colour: Light amber. Nose: Spicy, sweet, ripe fruit, sherry, dried fruit. Taste: Soft, like ripe pears, lemon peel. Finish: Long lasting.
