The vineyards of Casa Lupo are located 450 meters above sea level. The soil is characterized by limestone and fossil formations. The grapes are harvested by hand only at the end of September to allow the fruit to ripen as long as possible. The Casa Lupo Valpolicella Ripasso DOC matures for 18 months in oak barrels. Tasting notes:Intense ruby red color in the glass. Very powerful and fruity nose, aromas of red berries such as currants and blackberries. Fresh on the palate of red berries and plums. Long lasting on the finish. Grape varieties: 65% Corvina, 15% Corvinone, 10% Rondinella, 10% Other. Residual sugar: 7,8 g/l. Acidity: 6,05 g/l. Drinking temperature: 18°C. Aging potential: 8 years. The red wine goes very well with mushroom risotto, barbecue steak and braised rabbit.
