The first vintage of Brunello di Montalcino Caparzo dates back to 1970, a time when the situation of the denomination was completely different from today. At that time, there were actually only 13 wineries in Montalcino and this fact makes Caparzo one of the historic companies in the production of Brunello. The Caparzo winery is one of the few wineries in Montalcino that can boast of having vineyards in the different geographical areas of the production area. The grapes harvested in the vineyards spread throughout the area are carefully selected to create the conditions for a complex wine that combines all the characteristics that make Brunello one of the most appreciated wines in the world.Tasting notes:Deep garnet red in the glass. In the nose strong forest fruits, ripe black cherries with spicy notes. On the palate strong body, aromas of berries, oranges and velvety tannins. Very harmonious and full of finesse. Long lasting finish. Grape variety: Sangiovese. Vinification: French barrique barrels. Soil: Sandstone. Closure: Natural cork. Storage potential: 30 years. Drinking temperature: 18°C.
