The distillery A.H. Riise is located on St. Thomas Island, an American Virgin Island in the Caribbean. Before this island became an American territory, it was a Danish colony. Around the 1840s, the pharmacist Albert Heinrich was not only allowed to open a pharmacy but also to produce alcohol.
The frigate Jylland Rum is an exclusive edition of the popular Danish Navy Rum.
This Navy Rum is blended from different types of rum - some of them are up to 20 years old.
Nose: Dark intense aromas, cigar box, caramel, chocolate, notes of mint, grass.
Taste: Mild, pineapple, honeydew melon, banana, milk chocolate.
Finish: Long lasting, oranges, spice
